The Sacred Sauna Experience
After entering the sauna, you’ll feel the gentle warmth of infrared light penetrating your skin, creating a soothing sensation. As the heat promotes sweat production, your body detoxifies, and muscles begin to relax. The calming ambiance and radiant heat induce a sense of peace and tranquillity. Unlike a traditional sauna, the lower temperature of an infrared sauna makes the experience more comfortable. After the session, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, with potential benefits including improved circulation, pain relief, and reduced stress.
Our sauna is also fully connected so you can use Spotify to play your own tunes, use our favourite meditation apps or even watch Netflix!
What to Wear
Lightweight shorts and a tee-shirt are ok. Swimwear is better. We provide towels and recommend bringing clothing that is loose fitting and comfortable to put back on after your session.
Before
When using a sauna, it’s very important to stay properly hydrated. It’s advisable to drink plenty of water before, during and after your session. Additionally, we recommend cleansing your face of makeup to enable your skin to fully absorb the advantages of infra-red heat during your sauna session. Facial cleanser will be provided if needed.
During
Sacred Sauna is a wellness experience where the results are cumulative. This means the more you do, the more you will benefit. You may notice that it takes 10-20 minutes to break a sweat in your first session. This is because the sauna is heating your body directly, passively raising your core temperature by 2-3 degrees, rather than simply heating your skin with hot air. As your body becomes more accustomed to raising your core temperature on a regular basis, your sweat will become more excessive and will start sooner into your session.
After
After flushing out a lot of toxins, your body will need refreshing and rehydrating. You will be offered a cold peppermint towel, and an electrolyte drink.
